Almost half of CBD users no longer take medicines

The largest study on CBD (cannabidiol) shows:
Almost half of CBD users no longer need to take medication

The largest study to date on cannabidiol (CBD) has shown that many patients with CBD experience such relief from their symptoms that they can omit pharmaceutical prescriptions altogether.

The research was conducted by the Brightfield Group and HelloMD and included 2,400 participants in HelloMD’s community of 150,000 users. The survey found that 55 percent of CBD users were women, while men preferred THC-dominant products.

Dr. Perry Solomon, Chief Medical Officer of HelloMD, says that the main reasons people use CBD are insomnia, depression, anxiety and joint pain, “We see an exponential increase in interest in CBD products from our patient community – especially among women,” Solomon Forbes said.

“While we still have much to learn about CBD, we cannot ignore that one fact; the majority of those who use CBD products today benefit greatly.

CBD, the new medicine?

Everyone knows hemp and the psychedelic THC. THC is the substance that gets you high or stoned. However, the substance CBD is of a completely different nature. CBD means cannabidiol and is becoming more and more popular because it is experienced as a very healing substance that has many health benefits.

CBD is not a regular medicine, CBD is the “fuel” for our Endocannabinoides system. People suffering from symptoms such as depression, anxiety and chronic pain get regular medication. Now the question arises:

Can CBD replace the prescribed pharmaceutical drugs?

The answer is astounding.42 percent of CBD users in the study told researchers that CBD products enabled them to stop prescribing drugs such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen and more addictive prescription painkillers. Almost 40 percent of the participants are ‘floating drug users’. One time they use CBD and another time they use regular medication.

Astonishing 80 percent of respondents said that CBD was “very or extremely effective”.3 percent said they hadn’t noticed any significant effect,

“This study is exciting because it shows that there may be a huge, underdeveloped market for CBD products that could improve the lives of many people,” said Bethany Gomez, director of the Brightfield Group. “Through continued research and public education, CBD could be an effective alternative for many people, especially at a time when our nation is in an opioid crisis.”
